Rarity's rainbow four tails power

the moment I saw Rarity's rainbow transformation, my twisted mind clicked. 
all the designs are pretty bad, but... two tails? really? 
so does that mean, that the more tails Rarity grows - the more powerful she gets? that reminds me of something... but I can't quite put my finger on it  *cough* Naruto *cough*
